The UV water sterilizer PurePro 2 GPM is a compact UVC sterilizer made of AISI 304L stainless steel, designed for additional treatment of water from your own, uncontrolled sources such as wells, rainwater tanks or springs. The flow is up to 450 L/h, the connection is ¼”, and the device is only 34 cm long.

The manufacturer states that it destroys harmful microorganisms, including bacteria (salmonella, Vibrio cholerae, E. coli, legionella), protozoan cysts and viruses. The UV dose is at least 30,000 µWs/cm² at a flow of 450 L/h. The device has a built-in UV lamp alarm. How does it work?

The water flows through a stainless steel tube containing a UV-C lamp. The lamp emits UV light that damages the DNA of microorganisms, so they can no longer multiply. The process is physical, without chemicals, and does not change the taste or smell of the water.

For UV light to reach all microorganisms, the water must be clear before the sterilizer, so always pre-filter it. Suitable are house water filters, for example the Big Blue 10BB sediment house filter with a cartridge of your choice. The device needs an electrical connection of 220 V, 50 Hz nearby, the maximum pressure is 8 bar and the maximum water temperature is 40 °C.

When and which lamp to choose

Replace the UV lamp about once a year, because the UV output drops over time even though the lamp still lights. A timer can help you extend the interval between replacements.

For the UV water sterilizer PurePro 2 GPM we offer the UVC-D287T5 16 W lamp (€45.90, available from the supplier, we will tell you the delivery time by email). According to the seller, PurePro changed the design of the 2 GPM sterilizer, so the lamp dimensions are slightly different. The lamp still fits the older housing, but it must be inserted carefully. Because the sterilizer is rated 14 W, please send us the model or a picture of the device before ordering so we can confirm the right lamp.
