The UV water sterilizer Cintropur TRIO-UV (40 W) combines three technologies in one system: mechanical filtration, activated carbon and UV sterilisation. How does it work?

Stage 1: centrifugal mechanical filter. It removes coarse and fine particles in the range of 5 to 25 µm. A rotor spins the water into a vortex, heavier particles settle at the bottom of the bowl, where a filter sock retains them. The transparent bowl lets you check the condition, and the drain plug makes flushing easy. Pre-filtration is key to the effectiveness of the UV stage and the protection of the whole system.

Stage 2: CINTROPUR SCIN activated carbon. It improves taste and odour and removes chlorine, ozone, pesticides, organic substances and other unpleasant substances. Thanks to its high porosity it has a long service life and works best at lower flows.

Stage 3: UV sterilisation. A 40-watt UV lamp with a wavelength of 253.7 nm deactivates bacteria, viruses, microbes, legionella and protozoa. The process is physical, without chemicals and without harmful by-products. The water is then microbiologically safe.

What to replace and when

Replace the UV lamp once a year, because the UV output drops over time even though the lamp still lights. For the UV water sterilizer Cintropur TRIO-UV you need the UV lamp for Cintropur, 40 W (€179.90). It is designed for the Cintropur UV4100 UV unit used in this system, and also for the UV2100. When replacing it, inspect the quartz glass and sealing rings and keep the glass clean for the best passage of UV light.

The quartz glass protects the lamp from direct contact with water and lets UV light through. Replace it about every 5 years, depending on use and water quality. The quartz glass for the Cintropur TRIO-UV (€117.00) includes sealing rings and grease and is also designed for the UV2100 and UV4100 series.

Replace the filter cartridge as needed, usually every few months, depending on water quality. The standard filter in the system is 25 µm, and in our offer there is the Cintropur NW25 filter cartridge (set of 5 pieces, €15.00), designed for the Cintropur NW25 filter series.
