pH/ORP meter AD14 (ADWA) measures pH, ORP and temperature at once. pH to two decimals, ORP ±1000 mV, automatic calibration.

ADWA AD14: a pocket digital meter for pH, ORP and temperature
The pH/ORP meter AD14 is a digital pocket meter that shows three values at once: pH, ORP (redox potential in mV) and sample temperature. It is suitable for measuring the pH and ORP of drinking water and other liquids such as juices and tea. It is intended for home use and educational institutions. The set includes pH 4.01 and 7.01 calibration solutions (20 mL each), an electrode storage solution (10 mL) and instructions in Slovenian. The batteries are already inserted.
According to the official ADWA manufacturer's instructions it measures pH in the range from −2.00 to 16.00 with an accuracy of ±0.01 pH, and ORP in the range ±1000 mV with an accuracy of ±2 mV.
What is ORP and how to calibrate the pH/ORP meter AD14
ORP is the oxidation-reduction potential, which the meter shows in millivolts. A higher positive value means a more oxidising environment, and a negative one a more reducing environment. The ORP range is factory calibrated, so you do not calibrate it yourself. You calibrate only pH.
Switch the meter on, dip the electrode into the sample, stir gently and wait for the value to settle. pH calibration is automatic: the meter recognises the buffer by itself. For accurate measurements choose two-point calibration: first the 7.01 buffer (or 6.86), then 4.01 or 10.01 (or 9.18). When the meter accepts the first point it shows OK 1, and after the second point OK 2. Calibrate at least once a month, after replacing the electrode and after measuring aggressive chemicals.
You can also watch the procedure in the video instructions for calibrating the pH/ORP meter AD14.
Who is it for
Choose it if besides pH you are also interested in the ORP of water or other liquids. If you only need pH, see the AD-12 pH meter (two decimals) or the cheaper AD-11 pH meter (one decimal). For fieldwork or professional use there is the AD111 professional portable meter. For checking the ORP meter there is the ORP control solution.
Storing and cleaning the electrode
Pour the storage solution into the meter's cap up to about half and fit it onto the meter. The electrode stays in the solution, and you should never store it in distilled water. Rinse it with water after use, clean it once a month with an electrode cleaning solution and recalibrate. If the electrode dries out, soak it in the storage solution for at least one hour. More in the video instructions for storing the electrode. You will find replacement electrodes and liquids in the maintenance and calibration category.
