The washable sediment filter 100 micron is a 10″ washable sediment filter with a rating of 100 microns. It is designed for coarse filtration: it traps sediment, mud and sand that water brings from a well, a private water supply or older pipes. Because it is washable, you wash it when it clogs and use it again.

Suitable as the first filtration stage, ahead of fine sediment and carbon cartridges.

Install the washable sediment filter 100 micron at the inlet of the filtration system. It traps the coarse particles, so fine cartridges after it, for example the 5 micron sediment cartridge or the 1 micron one, work longer.

Comparison: 100 micron traps coarser particles than 50 micron, but fewer fine ones than a 5 micron sediment cartridge. The washable cartridge does not remove chlorine, hardness or bacteria, so add a carbon cartridge and other stages as needed.

How to wash it

Shut off the water supply, take the cartridge out of the housing, rinse it under running water and put it back. The manufacturer does not state an exact washing interval or service life on the page, so please confirm them with us. If the flow does not recover after washing, replace the cartridge.
