Alb Active Duo replacement cartridge

How does it work and how do you replace it

The cartridge combines mechanical, adsorption and catalytic filtration with ion exchange. Mechanical filtration traps visible impurities, and ion exchange reduces limescale. It is resistant to higher temperatures (up to about 45 °C).

Replacement takes a few steps: unscrew the bottom cap of the filter (Element or Duo model), remove the old cartridge with a slight twist, insert the new one into the cap, screw the cap back on and let the water run for a few seconds to activate the cartridge. For the shower, see the Alb replacement cartridge for the Balance shower filter.
